Here's a podcast that I subscribe to via iTunes - I think it's worth a mention as many of his podcasts are superb. It's a trance / dance podcast and it's where I find lots of new music. Highly recommended!

Now here's a bit of a turnaround - i've returned my new XDA Stellar Windows Mobile smartphone and replaced it with the Nokia E90. Unfortunately the xda acted much too like a Windows PC; no matter how much you tweak it, it's still too flakey. The hardware keyboard also decided to disregard random keystrokes, the battery wouldnt last a whole day with my usage and the camera was completely useless so it'd had enough.
I absolutely love my N95 but wanted a device with a larger screen and hardware keyboard but something more portable than a laptop. So I went for the E90. It's an awesome device. Granted, it's something of a brick but it packs a lot into that casing. You can find loads of reviews online for it so i'm not going to bore you with one. If you're looking for a high-end business phone then you need not look any further than the E90.
Here's an unfinished track that I created a while ago, basically chopping and changing bits of 'Mr Brightside' by The Killers.
Here's a breakdown of the apps that I use on a daily basis that are 'must-have' for me:
- Firefox - the hugely popular multi-platform web browser. Not as fast as Safari, but plugins galore and compatibility.
- Mail, iCal, iSync and Address Book - the essentials for day-to-day stuff and syncing to my N95.
- iTunes - love it or hate it, I happen to love it. And I need it for my iPods, obviously.
- iPhoto `08 - neat photo management, although I'm not sure if I like it as much as the previous version.
- VisualHub - converts any video format into another. Useful for streaming vids and DVDs.
- Adium - instant message app that supports every major protocol.
- VMWare Fusion - virtualisation at its very best. Recently moved from Parallels.
- Connect360 & MediaLink - streaming my music, videos and photos to the 360 and PS3. Very neat.
- Spaces & Exposé - not applications as such, but I've grown so used to using them I couldn't live without them.
- Soundtrack Pro - for music production / tinkering with audio.
- Max - for audio file conversion.
- Cyberduck - FTP uploading.
- Time Machine - backup for the bone-idle.
That's the basic list. There are likely many more applications I have come to rely on but have failed to mention here.
Well it would seem that I'm completely out of luck, and we're not even half way through the first month of the new year! I've somehow managed to fracture my shoulder in two places while playing a tennis competition!! Well, the doctors think I probably injured it before and the tennis pushed it over the edge. This means I'm now going to be out of tennis and climbing for 6-8 weeks while it fully heals. I've got an appointment to see a specialist on Tuesday so we'll see what he has to say about it. What annoys me is that having only just got over my nose operation this comes along. Since i've hit 24 it seems my body wants to fall apart! One is not impressed!
Well, its that time of year again when people spend obscene amounts of cash on their kids and everyone panics because the shops are going to be closed for ONE WHOLE DAY!!!! I've never quite understood it. Another thing I can't understand is why people really want to glue tacky plastic and cardboard trimmings to the ceiling, light up the outside of their house with millions of tiny lights so that it can be seen from space and what the hell possesses people to go around knocking other people's doors demanding cash for singing not only terrible songs, but sung badly!? Cliff Richard can stick his mistletoe and wine where the sun don't shine!
No doubt you'll now be thinking, "what a miserable sod" - and you'd be right. It's not all bad I suppose, at least there's a few days off from work but then there's the sodding fact that I'M ALWAYS ILL OVER CHRISTMAS!!! Why? There must be something about Christmas I'm allergic to.
I'm going to start a protest next year - cancel Christmas for the benefit of mankind. You know it makes sense.
Found this while doing the old general surfin - a Subaru Impreza does a 170ft jump.
